Job Overview
dbt Labs is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer specializing in storage services to enhance the dbt Cloud platform across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role involves designing and operating a reliable storage platform that supports automation and improves developer velocity. The candidate will work on refining existing components and building new ones to facilitate product feature development, ensuring performance and reliability in a multi-cloud infrastructure.
Technical Requirements
Required Skills
- • Significant experience designing and operating relational data and object storage platforms
- • Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- • Programming/scripting ability in Python
Preferred Skills
- • Experience building or running multi-tenant storage platforms at scale
- • Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ

Responsibilities
- • Design, operate, and scale storage-based infrastructure systems across multiple tenancy models
- • Deepen expertise in relational databases, search, caching, queuing, and streaming to strengthen platform scalability
- • Collaborate with Architecture, Release Engineering, and Security teams
- • Leverage tools and languages such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Python, SQL, Go, Bash, and Datadog
- • Participate in on-call rotation to improve reliability
