Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Software Developer to join our Security Application Development team at Smartsheet. In this remote role from Bulgaria, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust security features for our SaaS product. You'll tackle complex security challenges and work collaboratively to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring the resilience and trustworthiness of our platform.

Responsibilities

• • Design, build, and implement security features and functionalities directly into our SaaS product.
• • Develop scalable back-end services and APIs with a security-first mindset.
• • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed security best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• • Engineer and automate security controls, threat detection mechanisms, and vulnerability remediation processes.
• • Participate actively in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• • Tackle complex security challenges related to data protection, access control, authentication, authorization, and secure communication.
• • Create and maintain API integrations between internal and external systems.
• • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of security ownership across development teams.
• • Strategically apply AI tools to improve project execution, system design, quality, and debugging.
• • Assist with Security Incident Remediation.
