Job Overview
Kandji is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Miami. This role is pivotal in supporting application development and product teams in cloud environments, focusing on integrating security practices into maturing organizations. The ideal candidate will engage in various responsibilities, including detection engineering, threat modeling, and security operations and response, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to safeguard Kandji's cyber footprint.
Technical Requirements
- • Security operations experience
- • SIEM tooling and centralized logging
- • Threat modeling
- • Scripting languages for automation (Bash, Python)
- • Experience with Okta, Nightfall, Tenable, Wiz, AWS Security Hub
- • Implementing security standards (NIST, ISO, CIS)
- • Linux and Mac operating systems
5+ years of hands-on security operations experience in modern cloud environments
Responsibilities
- • Collaborate with application development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle
- • Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify and mitigate potential security risks
- • Establish telemetry data across Kandji cloud environment, platforms, and technologies
- • Deploy and optimize detection and response technologies
- • Detect and respond to cyber threats and incidents using various tools
- • Lead incident response efforts to investigate and mitigate security breaches
- • Conduct ad-hoc threat hunts in support of SecOps
- • Collaborate across functional teams to understand and protect all aspects of Kandji cyber footprint
- • Mentor junior members of the security team and provide guidance on complex security issues
