dbt Labs is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer specializing in storage services to enhance their dbt Cloud platform across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role involves designing, operating, and scaling storage-based infrastructure systems while focusing on automation and improving developer velocity. The ideal candidate will drive projects that refine the storage platform, ensuring performance and reliability while collaborating across various teams.
Technical Requirements
Required Skills
- • Designing and operating relational data and object storage platforms
- • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- • Programming/scripting in Python, Go, Bash
Preferred Skills
- • Building or running multi-tenant storage platforms
- • Expertise in PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ
Experience Level
Significant experience required
Responsibilities
- • Design, operate, and scale storage-based infrastructure systems across multiple tenancy models and public clouds
- • Deepen expertise in relational databases, search, caching, queuing, and streaming
- • Collaborate with Architecture, Release Engineering, Network, Compute, and Security teams
- • Participate in a balanced on-call rotation to improve reliability and reduce operational toil
